This building was built by missionaries as the house of a missionary, Rainer. This house is a red brick two storied building placed in a north and south axis on the southern hill of Switzer's house with a view overlooking Daegu-si. It is a rectangular shape running from to north and south. The first floor connects the main entrance in the western center to the hall in which a staircase is located. Living room, library, dining room and kitchen are arranged centering around the hall. On the second floor, bedrooms are placed along the south and west side of the staircase. A wooden front porch is positioned at the front center of the building's western side, while a wooden veranda is in the southern west side. The wall was built on the concrete foundation in an American bond fashion with red brick. The segment arch type windows, of which the bottom lintel was composed of two-layers of red brick, were furnished with wooden sash windows. The gable roof was covered by rectangular asbestos slates in a lozenge pattern. There are shed type roofs in the southern and northern sides of the gable roof where two brick laid chimneys were projected. This house has been home to missionaries like Rainer, Chamness, sawtell, etc. since its establishment.
